Got my 1/72 Kawasaki T-4 Blue Impulse in yesterday. It looks like a really nice kit and allows one to use the markings for planes #1 - #6.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Awesome. My LHS was selling Hasegawa's Blue Impulse kits for $20 each and that was a clearance price. I've got a couple aircraft kits in mind for mine.

Hey Black Sheep,

I just ordered a Hasegawa 1/72 Kawasaki T-4 Blue Impulse, a Japanese demonstration team. So I'm ready for your GB.

I'm interested. The more weathering I see the more I like clean, bright paint schemes. Pencil me in for something; I've got a ROKAF Black eagles T-50 in the stash or maybe it'll be a Tiger Meet AC. Hope you get enough entries to go ahead!

Aerobatics / Precision Team GB feeler...
Posted by BlackSheepTwoOneFour on Monday, September 8, 2014 9:40 PM

It has been over 20 years since I saw the Thunderbirds in action. Last month, I finally got that chance to see them again and share the excitement and sounds of an airshow in Rochester, NY with my 11 year old son.

With that said, I would like to post a feeler thread with hopes of starting my first ever GB called Aerobatics / Precision Team Group Build.

What:

The basics is pretty simple. Any Aerobatics /Precision Team aircraft(s) past or present, in any scale, singular or multiples, civilian or military, rotor, props, and jet from any country around the world. Aerobatics Team Support aircraft will also fall into this category as well (ie: Blue Angels' Fat Albert)

When:

The GB with start January 1st, 2015 and run until June 31st, 2015. A formal GB thread with simple rules will be posted in December of this year - one month before the actual start date. Participants are encouraged to join and help me make my first GB fun and exciting.

A group build badge is currently in the works.
