I'm going to start the Hase kit soon. It does look like a nice kit. I also bought some Braniff decals for it which may be a trial. The metallic blue scheme seems challenging.

...and the Welsh kit has a solid resin wing which makes dropping the flaps a chore.

Good move on the Hasegawa kit, it is about the best in shape out there.

I have the old KMC 1/72 kit and it will need a lot of TLC to get looking right.

$180 (approx.). That's a little rich for my blood. Try to explain that one to my wife. And I bet you can't even display it with the flaps down.

There is always the paper route. There are any number of liveries and can be built into very nice models with practice and patience.

Welsh models makes a 1/72 vac formed/resin -100 kit.

When I was going through Aircraft Mechanics school back in 1980 in Waco TX, I watch the A&M 727 take off from our runway.  That thing stood on it's tail. It was amazing to watch,  and loud.

That would be nice.  Something other than parked or flying configuration.

I think Zvezda's new A320 has optional flaps.  Hopefully, this will start a new trend with all the new airliner kits.

I'll get the Hasegawa kit. Its a little on the small size but it will do.  

I really wish someone would make this beautiful bird with an extended flap and slot option. I remember flying on them as a kid and setting at the wing window just to watch those gorgeous flaps extend. Man I love that plane.
