Maybe you can answer a question.

It appears that the underside of the wings was painted grey and in some shots the bottom half of the entire airframe looks grey.  can you assist?

One of the guys in my new hire class at my airline, on the 747 side, was the NASA 747 Chief Pilot at one point, interesting guy. Looking forward to this build.

Thought I'd upload a couple of my photos of the St. Louis shuttle visit, for anyone building that kit.  I have a lot more, including some closer shots of certain details.  Contact me if you have a need for any closer detail and I'll see what I have.

I've got that Hasagawa orbiter and carrier in my queue, and hope to get to it soon.  I will put the Enterprise on it.  I saw the combo visit St.  Louis long time ago, and have a couple dozen color slides of the pair, about half in flight and half on the ramp.  I was the PR person for an EAA chapter that was one of the sponsors of the visit, and got to go inside the 747, though it was too dark to take many pix in there.

awesome,  so far the kit is on par for Hasagawa.  I am building the early BMF 747 with the enterprise ( i believe) .  I am trying to decide on paint.  Model master crome sprayed through an airbrush gives a nice finish,  I have yet to try allclad but it is tempting.  all the color pics of the real aircraft sugest it was very dirty.

Love it!, Which orbeter are you using? The C-54 should also be a quite intresting build.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
