I heard about this aircraft for the first time this afternoon, while in a meeting laying out parking aprons at SFO.

It has electrically folding wing tips each 12 feet long

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

The "X" program is already starting to suck up bodies from the "classic" program...so we're starting to see lots of new faces in our shops.

Is it a longer version?

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

The "X" is well and truly in work.....the freighter will have the standard aluminum wings, but the passenger 777X will have the composite wings.
You have to go have a tour of the factory in Everett...seriously...the work that goes on there is astounding.

Cheers, LeeTree
