Very nice!  I like the weathering and livery.  I've done one fedex bird and have another in the stash.

Thanks,

John

Excelent work, it looks like you put a lot into it. If you put and airport backdrop behind it, one could be forgiven for thinking it was real.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Fantastic--love the gloss paint job, clean lines, and weathering effects. in one sense a proper airliner gloss and metallic job, but also the right amount of weathering effect and not ovedone. nice work

OK let's dial this back a moment.

I was holding my tongue, but I  think Space Ranger did not build this model.

Space Ranger, if I am wrong I stand corrected. Otherwise, give an attribution or "byline".

It is the right thing to do to attribute a source, a link, or an image to the original author.

I thought it was clearly a reference to someone elses nicely done build he wanted to share.  Who calls their own build 'Superb' (maybe when no one is looking lol...)

Thanks,

John

Here's a link to the builder's profile on Britmodeler:

https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/profile/22025-rci/&tab=activity

It IS most assuredly an outstanding build...superb only begins to describe Sini's work. Be sure to click on the link to the work-in-progress (found on Britmodeler); its a masterclass on building the Eastern Express MD-11.

Space Ranger;

     I do believe you have done yourself proud by Presenting  that Fed-Ex Bird. But, after having worked around their birds in L.R. before the Memphis Hub became a reality, don't you think she needs a bath?

 I used to work for Little Rock Airmotive . We did the Dassault Falcon A/C ( all sizes) conversions to Airfreighters for them, delivered with full paint and My instrument panels!

I didn't build it, but I think a model of a working airplane looks more realistic than one with a new, showroom finish, provided the weathering is carefully done.

Now;

 I will admit, I have seen many that look like that between about four or five flights. It is realistic. I just like them purty!

Depends on the era.  Currently line workers are expensive employees.  In the prewar era lineboys were cheap- young men would almost work for peanuts to be able to work around aircraft.  That continued into the early postwar years.  Airlines did everything they could to make people feel safe.  Many liveries featured a lot of bare metal and it was always kept clean and polished.  Some slight stains near exhausts, and dusty tires are okay, but not much more.  Todays airliners can look a bit more used.

Nice. We had a couple of Fedex and UPS MD-11s at Sky Harbor when I was working there. Have some photos somewhere.
