I just got a late thought.

You could also possibly use the seats from " N " scale rail passenger cars too!

Hi Gregbale!

Revell also did a very nice L-1011. I had a lot of fun building that. But! I had an office at the Airport Business Park, So Luckily I had Access through a friend of mine, to a real one.

It depends on what you're doing and the scale you're doing it in.

If you're building a 1/144 airliner with a closed fuselage and choose to use the included clear windows (think oldddddd Airfix kits), then don't bother with the interior, even with the "clear" windows you won't be able to see anything inside except a blur.

the EBBRO 1/48 Honda jet has a full interior.

There is/was the Revell 1:144 cut-away Airbus A380 - that had seats inside.

I'va also drawn up some airliner seats in 3D and I could put them on Shapeways for you to be 3D printed if you are interested. Then you could equip almost any airliner you like.

Good luck with your builds and have a nice day

Paweł

The recent Minicraft light planes (Cessna, Piper) have very nice interiors.  I built a 1:144 Civil JU-52 that had at least a finished cockpit.  I just painted the interior black and let it go at that.

Your best bet might be to do a browser search for "cutaway" airliner models, as those are typically the ones with full interiors. Revell has done a 747 and (I think) a 707 in 1/144, seems to me Dragon did a 747 also in something like 1/300. There are undoubtedly others.

If it's just a matter of trying to have something visible behind fuselage windows, it gets easier. HO 'bulk' RR seating makes a great stand-in for aircraft seats in scales from about 1/100 to 1/72.

[Also...it may well be that by now airliner seats...in several scales...are available from 3D printing sites like Shapeways.]

Cheers

Greg
