Medic Up!
Posted by ski4jeepin on Thursday, July 2, 2009 8:56 PM

Howdy All,

This is Verlinden's 120mm WWII Medic. It's built mostly straight from the box with a homemade base. The plaque is brass with Woodland Scenic dry transfer lettering. I painted it with oil paints. It's my first attempt at a figure with facial features and skin tone. I know now that the colors of the uniform may not be 100 percent accurate, that's what I get for using the box art as my reference. It dosn't show in the pictures, but the red cross on the helmet and arm brussard were added with Woodland Scenics red stripe dry transfer. Thanks for looking and any questions or comments are welcome and encouraged.

Hey Ski!  Glad to see you again on here!  VERY NICE WORK! If you get the chance, you should add pics with the red crosses--your work on those was very nice; couldn't tell they weren't pre-made manufactured red cross decals.  Talk to you soon.

Thanks all for the kind words. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about posting this one. Something about the eyes and of course the uniform color. But a big thanks.

ski, that's a nice job. I've been thinking about that kit for awhile now ... Hmmm, I might have to put the idea on the back-back burner. But thanks for the inspiration.

Definately keep working on your figures! You're off to an AWESOME start!
