1/48 Bride & Groom needed
Posted by topcomposer on Monday, December 28, 2009 3:57 AM

Hi all,

I'm putting together a wedding-day diorama in 1/48 scale, with car and figures. I have the car and can get scenery and accessories, but I'm stuck on the bride and groom couple. Plastic or metal - doesn't matter. I suppose it doesn't even have to be a bride and groom, as such, but a chap in a suit and tie, and a woman in a 1950s halterneck dress and heels. A bit specific, I'm sure, but I don't want a giant fru-fru dress...

All I can find at the minute is a set of 16 assorted figures from Preiser with a couple that can be customised to work - https://www.ontracks.co.uk/index.php?page=product&prodID=55042&catID=540

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. many thanks in advance.

Peter

I belive some model railroading scales( I'm tempted to say O scale) are almost exactally at 1/48 but don't take my word for it. If this is the case you could probably search there.

Cheers for the reply - I have been looking at O-Gauge as well. Just wondering if anyone had any preferred manufacturers for this kind of figure?

top,

the Preiser O-gauge (roughly 1/48 scale) model RR figures are the best ones that I've seen so far....my opinion is go with the Preiser set you found!  HTH  Big Smile  I'd really like to see pics of the finished product when you're done with it (or in Progress even too)--if you're willing to share!

Happy New Year!

Cheers for the recommend - I'll go for the Preisers. Will keep you updated with WIP photos when I get going with it...
