A good place in the US is The Red Lancers and The Michigan Toy Soldier. Overseas I get mine from several different companies, you may have to see what kit it is and Google the name but a really good one and a friend of mine is FeR miniatures.

Hope this helps and FYI I just received a package from Italy and it's a really cool kit! Will be a SBS down the road.

No not particularly, I just wanted to find some of the female and warrior kits you build. I just don’t have any idea where to find a good variety at a good price.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Where do you get your figures Joe?

I get them from many different places. I order from here in the states and from   different places overseas. I'm going to see if in future installments we can add a link to where the figure can be purchased. Is there one in particular that you would like to know about?

Nice finish!  I look forward to seeing the article and the details on how you painted her.

This chick ROCKS!

What colors did you use for the flesh tones?

Hey Allan,

Thanks and I'm glad you like her! Unfortunately I can't say anything about the flesh at this time because it's the feature for the article in FineScale and I'm not allowed but after its published I'll be glad to tell you anything that you would like to know!

What!?! You didn't dirty her up a bit?!? LOL! Looks good though.

You are right! I decided not to do that "yet" because the article is about how to paint a females flesh and I didn't want to show anything else to distract from it. I am planning on moving her to a new base and once that's done I'll add more weathering.

Thank you for the observation and kind words!

Again super nice work, I wish I could do faces one-tenth as well.

Thank you and I'm sure you could do it! Just go slow, keep your mixtures simple and thin!

Hey guys,

Here is the latest figure I have completed for the column. It is my take on painting a females flesh. I was looking for a less tan effect. She is a 70 mm Battle Chick and painted as my usual all Vallejo acrylics. She is just on a temporary base and I will eventually move her to a new one as soon as I get it completed.

Thanks for looking!
