kiwi,
I agree with aj, Tamiya can be a pain to brush paint. If you are going to use it, make sure you allow it to set fully between coats, otherwise it will continue to lift and become an exercise in frustration. Mixing them for other different colors is no big deal as long as you have a color wheel to give you a hand and you understand it. I have mixed Tamiya with itself as well as others. aj and others swear by vallejo acrylics, I myself use different brands, Tamiya, liquitex, and pollys to name a few. Its whatever works best for you. Bunkers, I would imagine are typically concrete (some shade of grey) in color with at least some attempt to blend them in to whatever background they currently occupy (whether through foliage, dirt, or paint). You can probably find some color photos of examples on the internet. Hope this helps, and by the way, welcome aboard.
