I'm pretty sure I've heard stories about the condemned "tipping" the executioner to ensure a quick end.

Nice work.  Since head chopping block is all bloody (and looks fresh blood too), would be nice if the axe blade was also covered with trace of blood.  Or is it not possible?

Didn't executioners take tips to ensure a good job?  Maybe he just finished cleaning and sharpening the blade.

OH MAN! You're absolutely right! How'd I miss that?!?!Sign - With Stupid [#wstupid]

Actually, I think I was so set on bringing out a sharp edge look to the blade by filing it down that the thought completely escaped me...but you're right, it should be bloody!

I beleve these are 54mm, metal figures; I got them thru Squadron..

Thanks to all who took the time to reply; now, where's that bottle of blood....?Laugh [(-D]

Nice job on the flesh tones. Good job.

Me wonders what her offense was, to warrant such a quick and brutal end?

At least she shall not be quartered......as far as we can tell!

Is this 54MM ?

Het guys, I stepped away from my tanks a few months ago and did something different--the Andrea Miniatures "Executioner" and "The Condemned" , and I put 'em in this little viginette...I built the chopping block out of wood, and "put down a clean sheet" of tissue paper after reading that sometimes they'd do this for royalty and notable people ("so CIVILIZED!"Laugh [(-D]) The head pail is standard armor stuff from Italeri...Comments, critiques always welcomed!!!
