                        I've seen a restored Avenger turret. You'd need to be a pretty small contortionist to fit in there. I doubt any figure not sculpted to fit the turret will be able to be modified to fit it. I also doubt the gunner got in until he REALLY had to.

                        Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

                        Verlinden makes a 1/48 set of US Naval Aviators, WWII era. Dont know if it's still in production or not.  For the turret gunner, you may able to scrounge one from the Monogram B-26 Marauder kit. It had a good one for the top turret that may fit. Also their Pro Modeler PBY-5A kit came with some great air crew figures.

                        I bought the 1/48 scale Avenger of George Bush fame and am in the middle of building it.  My problem is I like to use figures with the aircraft.  I bought 1/48 scale naval pilots and crew figures from PJ productions, but they won't fit in their seats.  The pilot figure's legs had to be broxen and reglued so the could fit under the instrument panel.  I haven't gotten to the ball turret yet, but I am not optimistic.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.  Lenny
