...I think you are right, that is a speck of red paint, probably from her skirt...the girl came loose in a move once so I suspect that is when it happened (rubbed up against him, which is ironic on another level--LOL)...that's one downside about white-metal figs: they are heavy...
you should do a follow-up showing her having her head shaved after the liberation.
