Stikpusher,
Wow, Very informative Stuff. I was leaning toward the dark brown olive drab or a lighter olive based on some video I saw on the History Channel. Looks like they were pretty close. I also visited both the websites you recommended. Both were great! I now have more info to use while painting and detailing my Kit. I am not sure if many people have wanted to waste their time with the Yak-3 kit I purchased, because it lacks in most details. You might have seen one of these kits around. It came as a bagged kit from RED STAR (kind of reminds me of older airfix kits) and is very simple (The detail on the pilot are pretty good though). There is no date on the package, but this has to be older than ten years. The scale is 1/72nd. The parts need work to get them to match up and there is virtually no cockpit (Seat, partial floor, & Stick). I would not rate the model very well, but I took it on as a project. I am custom detailing most of areas where it is lacking (Lots of sheet & rod styrene), but since this is such a small scale, I am not trying to go overboard with it. I have been taking digital photos as I have worked and when I get finished I will post them (If it turns out OK).
Thanks again for the help,
Captain Cookie
