hi all,    i have re-made the airfix skellywag,  my last one got broken up by the kids fighting in my bedroom  .

it is based on the film 'JASON AND THE ARGONAUNTS' a cult film from the 70's.
the model has no moveable joints and was a right pain to get it to stand correctly, i had to cut an angle out at the bottem of it's back to make it look as if it is walking, warmed up fingers and toes to correct shape, the shield is the bottom of a 'pot noodle' tub, sword stolen from my lads toy box  , base is a CD case.  VERY VERY FRIGHTNING Evil [}:)]

Excellent work. Expect to see Jason come busting in with a sword to take him on.

This looks a superb figure. I'm lookin' forward to seein' some paint on this, although the ribs may need a little putty work where they're cemented together.

I LOVE IT!!!

That movie ROCKED!!!

As far as I'm concerned, CGI doesn't hold a candle to those animations!

I agree. I must give great respect to those doods who painstakingly moved those figures several thousands of times to make that freakin' sweet movie. I hope all the arthritis isn't that bad. My 3 year old went nuts watching it. Like no other movie he has watched. He just freaked out.

Nice job...You certainly caught the spirit of Ray Harryhausen's skeleton army. You might want to consider moving the shield so his hand in holding the strap. In this position, it would be hard to control.

I found a still from the film online so you can get an idea of hte decoration.

For the record, the movie was released in 1963. Ah, yes, I remember it well!
