Northern Cheyenne Warrior
Posted by ajlafleche on Friday, October 19, 2007 7:32 PM

Here is La Meridiana's 54mm Northern Cheyenne warrior. The large sized kit comes with the option of a crooked lane, as shown, or a spear pointed top. Except for a wash of Payne's gray oil over the wolf skin, he is painted entirely in acrylics. The shield patter is based on the shield a of Cheyenne man named Little Rock. The shield is on display at the Detroit Institute or Arts.

Amazing work, Al. Your shading is remarkable. The detail in his patterns is truly stunning.

One thing- is that a large strand of dust on his left eyebrow?

Thanks.

Yeah, that smoodge didn't show up until I posted. I could barely see it with my bifocals, Optivisor and magnifier light. I think I brushed it off. Big Smile [:D] I believe that was the proverbial mote in his eye!

Looks great.  Especially the highliting/shading on the folds in his pants, and his face paint stand out in particular.

Aj, gorgeous work! You should do a post of one pic of each of your "Indians" collection! You have some remarkable figures!
