Skin color for really tinyyyyyyyyyy African-Americans?

I'm doing a 1/144 scale F/A-18C Hornet displayed on a section of aircraft carrier deck, with various deck crew running around. What might be a good out-of-the-bottle skin color for the African-American crew? I'm looking at Testors Rust No. 1185 in the little bottle, because at that scale, Brown just looks too ... brown. I dunno. I thought I was going to go nuts trying to paint the woodland camouflage scheme on the pants, but for some reason this one has me stumped.

Tamiya Red-Brown would look good in that scale, with a little lightening with Tamiya Dk Yellow...
