YIKES! There be giants about!

That's a HUGE figure Dan! YOu could almost use it for a "garden gnome"! LOL! Laugh [(-D]

Gosh, my mind reels when I think of how much paint you must have had to use to finish that! You did a great job on it!

Now, to find a plane model that big to put beside it! YIKES! Shock [:O] Big Smile [:D]

Thank you for replying to this post. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] This year has been a good year of challenging figures, from resin to metal to styrene, and from sizes of 1" to 18" tall.

Manny, I usually mix all colours before applying,(only use acrylics with alot of washes,) and that is why they might not be historically accurate, but I tend to work each figure as a painting and how my eye percieves them to be.

I am a painter and portrait artist, although nowadays usually restrict mediums to pencil and pastel.  I had 3 years of Fine Arts at ODU, and I am sure that has some residual effect to how I approach these figgies. Once again, thanks for all the comments.Shy [8)]

Beautiful stuff! Man that 1/4 scale pilot has to be--what--about 1.5 feet tall?!

Really nice, diverse colection of subjects. The MIG Waffen SS figure is quite a stunner--it's the first time I've seen that!

Dude, you are a true artist...a lot of the best ones got past me the first time, also...although the colors on some of the figs is suspect from a historical standpoint, your use of colors is outstanding from a shading, washing, etc. standpoint...looks like you have some formal artistic training to me...your vignettes are top notch...

...I especially like the one with the German 75mm pak howitzer; would like to see more pics of that!!! Oustanding work here; you are very talented...two thumbs WAY UP! Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]
