**updated**Merr Sonn Power 5 blaster
Posted by PatlaborUnit1 on Monday, October 13, 2008 6:04 AM

a 1:1 blaster made from a super cheap Chinese made airsoft pistol that I got super cheap off of Ebay. I used sheetplastic, plastic corrugated tubing, a flexible oil filler spout, aircraft hardware and plastic stock. The resin MG34 barrel flashhider comes from a 501st Legion member in Germany. I painted it silver this morning in preparation to paint satin black this afternoon and begin the weathering process.

This is not 100% accurate, I did that on purpose, so I guess this is more like a M-S P5.3.

I intend to use it with my 501st Legion Officers costumes.

**Update***  I took it to the Gatorcon08 show in Lafayette yestday and put it on the table with a descriptive label....written in Aurebesh. Ok, I laid out a Aurebesh character map on the table so anyone who wanted to read it could.  After the judging was over I put it back in my holster. Yes, I attended the show in full armor, and judged in off-duty costume.  Think of it this way. My costume is a 1:1 full scale model of a screen-used costume using screen accurate parts and components. Other than my blaster and using a flightsuit, Im as canon as I can get.  I do as much research on my costume items as I do my models, so in effect, I am a walking replica! LOL.

the standard black officers uniform. My costuming is pretty much Imerial Navy. With one black modified set of coveralls, I can do my TIE pilot, Imperial Gunner (helmet is too small for my head but i love the helmet) Imperial Navy Trooper or off duty TIE (no helmet, no armor).   I will wear this one pretty much any time I am out, unless I ever get a TK done....then its E11 time.

Actually if you want SW fans, come on over to redstickrebellion.com  its a great site with an active forum. Im not much of a collector but we do a lot more than just collecting there.

hey, you're in the 501st?  oh way cool.  I briefly meet a member at the supermarket a few years back.  I'm not sure how big the colorado chapter is, but i'd like to find more info on 'em.

Great blaster by the way, I can totally see an Imperial officier struting around with that on his belt.

hi tacobuff

the best way to find out all information about the 501st is to head to 501st.com

Read up on it as much as you can there at the site, and then click on Garrisons and Detachments at the top.

You will find the Colorado (Denver mile high?) Garrison listed in there with their forums.  Create a profiel and introduce yourself at the  Co forums and that will start you on your pat to the Dark Side.

Nice blaster! looks acurate enough to me!

can you post a pic of the uniform as well? We all would be much happier sci fi nuts if we could see it.

Some people spend their whole lives wondering if they made a difference. Gundams don't have that problem.

Thanks PA.  I plan on trying to make a holster tongiht, not at all sure how that is giong to come out. Plastic...fine, Vinyl or leather.....out of my sphere.

I dont want to turn this into a Legion thread, but if you want to see what we do and the wonderful work the Legion does in the community, investigate http://www.501st.com , and here is a direct link to my gallery ...
