a 1:1 blaster made from a super cheap Chinese made airsoft pistol that I got super cheap off of Ebay. I used sheetplastic, plastic corrugated tubing, a flexible oil filler spout, aircraft hardware and plastic stock. The resin MG34 barrel flashhider comes from a 501st Legion member in Germany. I painted it silver this morning in preparation to paint satin black this afternoon and begin the weathering process.
This is not 100% accurate, I did that on purpose, so I guess this is more like a M-S P5.3.
I intend to use it with my 501st Legion Officers costumes.
**Update*** I took it to the Gatorcon08 show in Lafayette yestday and put it on the table with a descriptive label....written in Aurebesh. Ok, I laid out a Aurebesh character map on the table so anyone who wanted to read it could. After the judging was over I put it back in my holster. Yes, I attended the show in full armor, and judged in off-duty costume. Think of it this way. My costume is a 1:1 full scale model of a screen-used costume using screen accurate parts and components. Other than my blaster and using a flightsuit, Im as canon as I can get. I do as much research on my costume items as I do my models, so in effect, I am a walking replica! LOL.
