Star Wars, Droid tank thingy.

Bought this kit pretty cheap yesterday. It was in a LHS, I know this kit was not meant for the european market so when I seen it I jumped on it.

Msg. for Graham, can I count this as a second build in theh Star Wars G.B. ?

I started it this morning with the intention of it being a quicky,, and it was.

So lets get into the pic's.

Primed with Chaos black aersol, quick and painless.

Sprayed with a games workshop metallic, probably bolt gun metal, no label left on bottle, what can you do?

A very good exercise in drybrushing metallics and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks for looking, all comments welcome.

Terry.

the seventh picture down has all the features of one of those 1950s monster movie posters. great shot!  I always thought these things looked funny when i saw them in the movie.  Very nice job on this one, looks like it should be shootin' up wookies right now.

THanks for the kind words guys. Now shooting up wookies, not sure, I've met Peter Mayhew several times and what a wonderful guy he is. I once asked him if instead of a costume for the part of Chewbacca he just stopped shaving for a couple of days.

Any hoo thanks again, I didn't build this for any accuracy, just fun.

Great model, pal! :) I always like something that everyone´s not building, like an F-16 or a Hetzer tank. I also liked the metallics work you did, and I´m sure I´ll come back to this page in the future and "borrow" your techiques. Hehe.

man that really came out great!!!!!

i have seen them built up in like tan or beige but this looks more correct.

chaos black spray is fantastic, now if they made a bolter metallic in spray....

Build to please yourself, and don't worry about what others think! TI 4019 Jolly Roger Squadron, 501st Legion

Thanks again guys. Patlabor, Games workshop did do a bolt gun metal as a spray at one stage but only do the three primers now.
