Viper Mk.VII WIP update 20/11/09
Posted by TANGO 1 on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 2:24 AM

Hi Everyone,

this is my other Viper, this time we have The Mk.VII in 1/48 scale from Black Sun models. This is just the basic build-up, but I have to say its very nicely moulded. Here are some pics.........

Here she is with her Mk.II counterpart...........

Some of the air intakes on this Mk.VII need to be hollowed out,  I'll let you know how that goes!

That is one sweet looking ride Darren!  You are obviously up to your old tricks again. Approve [^]  I shall enjoy watching your take on this subject.

Thanks Frank,

I have opened up some intakes and now its wearing a paint coat, I still need to do a little re-scribing but the model is starting to look the part now. I will paint it as one of the lighter coloured fighters from the mini-series as thats the scheme I like most. I'll get some more pics up soon.Wink [;)]

Here's the scheme I'm after.......

Here is the latest progress on my Mk.VII Viper,

the intakes were cut out and the fuselage painted.  I have also added the engines and done some weathering, it still needs some elbow grease but its getting there.

Thanks Guney!

Would I recommend these kits? Yes! They are nicely moulded and quite faithful to the series models. The big plus here is that they are 1/48 scale, which is where I work. The downside is that these kits are quite expensive, but thats the norm with these resin kits. I know this, they are easy to work with and a lot of fun.Wink [;)]
