a few pics of my c3po.  bought him on ebay and someone had started him. BADLY.  so i took him apart and gave him the treatment befitting a small gold icon.  pics taken in not ideal conditions.  will put better ones on if anyone would like to see him.  c&c appreciated.  bye for now

the metallic finish is great, but the red eyes make him an evil twin.

thanks sprue.  i had this chat sitting about for ages then i was off work with a stinking cold and thought, the time is now....  so, thabkfully he'd been started with really bad glue which just peeled off easily.  i put him together and handpainted him with water thinned tamiya gold acrylic.  after a few coats i ran thin black into the joints and lines etc and dry brushed some silver all over. i also added pathes of clear gloss here and there and also some clear yellow and orange.  i added a few oil runs in the knee joints as i wanted him to be a bit like we find him at the start of rotj ie a bit battered.  that's about it really, will post more photos soon.

you will see above that I had to scratch build this shoulder piece as the orginal was missing from the kit.  i made it, in a rush, from a tiny plastic paint pot and some scraps of plastic.  barely shows up in reality.

here are some better photos sprue

uh, should be yellow, but there's no rule that say you have to do yours that way.
