Finished this a couple months ago for Waynec's SF Hard Science GB. I was planning to take better photos but still haven't gotten around to it so here's the old photos of IKV 'Brave Tribble Slayer' or as Wayne informs me - 'Sub ylH HoHwI'mey' or

I really like the subtle paint scheme you've done here. What were the colors that you used? I've still have an AMT version in the box that I need to build some day and I 'd like to use yours as a reference. Nice job!
Hey thanks! Wish I could tell you what I used, I don't remember now! I painted her in a darkish grey and then did the whole pre-shading thing by painting the inner areas of the panels with a medium grey. Then I added a few streaks of thinned down medium grey paint going from front to back. All I remember about the paint colour was one was a dark grey and one a medium- sorry!
Honestly, it's not correct for the studio model which was painted in different shades of greenish and purplish grey. But looking at a fifty year old TV show I was watching on a small low resolution TV in the late '80s that's how she looked so incorrect it may be that's how I painted her!
love the Klingon lettering Gam!!

Thanks Rob, the kit does come with a whole Klingon alphabet so you can put any name on her you want. The translation is the hard part!
HA, you think you are spelling 'Killer Klingon' and end up spelling 'Smelly Vulcan'....
Well done.

Hey thanks guys!
Rob, Waynec told me it read 'Brave Tribble Slayer' - I have no idea myself! It reminds me of those people who get tattoos in an Asian language they don't know and end up meaning something somewhat (cough) different than they think it means...
So true, so true!!
Incredible work Gamera! Paint work is awesome...flawless build!
Well, she's not flawless, if you look closely there are a bunch of little issues here and there but I found myself obsessing over them and finally just told myself to 'just get the blasted thing done and move on to something else!' Thanks though!!!
Nice work! I like the PL Star Trek kits. Yours turned out great!

Thanks! It is a very good kit, more seams than I thought but overall fit was excellent.
My guess is that you are the only one that will see anything wrong..excep maybe a klingon..spectacular build!
Gamera Well, she's not flawless, if you look closely there are a bunch of little issues here and there but I found myself obsessing over them and finally just told myself to 'just get the blasted thing done and move on to something else!' Thanks though!!!
Been there done that. Not with this specific kit but others.
At some point you just have to call it done and move on.
There have even been a few times when in trying to get that last little minute detail that no one but me would notice I really screw something up big time! Like the time I'd just got the last little seam (in a virtually unnoticeable spot) filled and needed one short little small blast of silver paint from a spray can. Problem was the can I picked up and sprayed was red!
Stern0: Hopefully not too many Klingons on this forum to notice!
Mits: Lol, been there, done that, got the T-shirt! Though in my case it was spraying silver paint I thought was a clear gloss!
Very nice. The most difficult models are those with smooth sides, few details. You made this work. Nice shading.
Gerry ...Young at Heart - Other parts slightly older.
Nice work Gam.
You made me cringe with that paint story. I don't ever remember doing that, however...... maybe that's one of those things one brain tries to forget.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I've been playing Star Trek Online- now I want to build more starships but I've got too much stuff half-constructed already!
