OctaneOrange,

Did you scratch the hatch in the open position for the droid? That's a very nice job if you did.

I want to try that but my kit has a sealed hatch.

Yes, the model is sealed shut. After scribing the hatch lines, i had to make cuts from the inside at the right height to get it level with the outside. if you were clever you could hinge the hatch, but i just glued it to the body with a strip of styrene.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Yes, very cool! Been a long time since I've seen the movie but it looks a dead ringer for the 'real thing' best as I can remember.

Great paint and weather!  And I too think the droid is a stellar addition!  Hope you have more SW kits so you can join the SW GB!  Thanks for sharing!

That's a nice build. I did do one of these a few years ago but don't have it now so have bought 2 more to replace it. It is a nice easy build from what I recall. The Droid does add a really nice touch.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

That's cool. I going to build one for the Star Wars GB in January. The battle Droid really adds interest.

This was a quick SW build for a bit of a change. The Trade Federation tank from Ep1 AMT kit. The kit itself is very well engineered, with no flash or fit issues. After painting in various shades of browns and a bit of black for the ports, i assembled the kit straight out of the box, with one big exception of opening the  commander's hatch, which i stuck some greebles to the underside, including a few handles. The battle droid is an action figure from Kenner.
