Both Fantastic Plastic and Starship Modeler list the kit as 1/89th scale; much smaller than 1/72 scale. Having said that, even two new kits listed as 1/72 by Bandai and Fine Molds are noticeably different sizes.
These are not my kits, but someone built the Bandai on the left and Fine Molds on the right and the FM kit is larger. I'm okay with the Y-Wing being larger since it was used similar to a US TBF Avenger torpedo bomber and would be larger and clunkier than a sleeker X-Wing fighter that engages in dogfights.
I need to get my act together and photograph the three built kits next to one another.
