Both Fantastic Plastic and Starship Modeler list the kit as 1/89th scale; much smaller than 1/72 scale. Having said that, even two new kits listed as 1/72 by Bandai and Fine Molds are noticeably different sizes.

These are not my kits, but someone built the Bandai on the left and Fine Molds on the right and the FM kit is larger. I'm okay with the Y-Wing being larger since it was used similar to a US TBF Avenger torpedo bomber and would be larger and clunkier than a sleeker X-Wing fighter that engages in dogfights.

I need to get my act together and photograph the three built kits next to one another.

Video didn't play for me. I remember building this way back in 1984 while in college and picking up one when they were reissued in 1996. It's been collecting dust since I discovered the Fine Molds 1/72 scale one.

So want to get this posted before I post the new video tomorrow. Doing something a little different this week and are looking at an older snap kit from MPC of the venerable Y-wing from Star Wars.
