By request, some of my earlier projects
Posted by ikar01 on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 11:01 PM

I have been asked to post some of my earlier projects.  Some are scratch builts that I had done many years earlier and the designs may seem a little familiarat times.  I'll try to keep it down to one picture per subject to save space.  Some I have posted a long time ago but will again for anyone interested who may not have seen them before.

The Vulcan III

The Vampire fighter.  This was designed to be compactly stored when not in use for extended periods.

A salvage shuttle designed to work from a larger mother ship to do some of the heavy work on wrecked ships.

A Arrowhead fighter from the Stingray series.

Ant's colony, where the people are inside.

A skimmer attack craft in for maint.

Heavy Rescue vehicle

Flea light support fighter

A rookie rider trying to keep control of his new mount.

A railroad maint. skimmer

You must have posted the heavy rescue vehicle before, I can remember seeing it now.

The Arrowhead looks strangely like an F-5 fuselage. Hmm

I need to do some kit bashing to come up with something odd, plus thin out the spares box.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

It was based on the F-5.  I used a old Testors model but any type F-5 wouild do.

The Spearhead is a modified B-58 with the engines mounted on the tail.  The markings were fairly simple but you need some large "W" decals.

I don't see the Spearhead.

If I remember right the Spearhead was shown on the opening sequences of the show and only during a coiuple episodes.

If you go to youtube, look up the opening sequence of Stingray and two Spearheads wii fly pase as they lower the base inot its shelters.  Also do a check for the bomber from stingray and you can even see a variant that someone built with the engines on top of the wing.  I weill have to have somebode come up with special decals for it.
