And Bandai just released the 1/35 scale Patmobile, from "The Batman".
Although their earlier Tumbler kit would match up better with "Luna".
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
Oh man i love this car!!! I'm off to find one. This is the kind of crazy thing I'd love to build and do some coolpaint scheme on. Love the MaddMaxx meets Bladerunner comparison. I was sold on it then. Looking forward to build night!
In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!
Real G Sorry PhoenixG, I have not had much bench time lately. But it's Hobby Night at my place this Saturday, so I hope to glue some plastic then.

Please, don't apologize. Pinging the thread was my way of saying I am enjoying watching your build.
I've not put in much bench time myself. Too many things pulling me in different directions.
On the Bench:
Bandai 1/72 Defender Destroid
Tanker Builder,
Yeah, she is. I have no idea why. Given her metal outfit, a can of WD40 would have been more appropriate.
Very Interesting !
I think that is awesome! Question, Is she holding a stuffed rabbit by the ear?
I too was looking forward to where you were going with this G! Crossing my fingers you're able to get back to her soon.
"I dream in fire but work in clay." -Arthur Machen
Don't forget the "Please Drive Safely" bumper sticker.
Just wondering how things are going with this build.
Been looking forward to seeing where your inspiration takes you. :)
Real G, you must be clairvoyant.
FSM posted this product review two days after you started your thread.
Box art implies the character is holding an amorphous pink stuffed rabbit by the ear?
lol, interesting choice in props.
Ohhhh that's so cool!
I looked on HLJ and it's backordered or I'd order one myself. I've been playing a bunch of Cyberpunk 2077 and that'd fit right in.
Looking forward to seeing how you paint her up!
So these are the figures that come with the kit.
Two complete figures, one with a normal head, and the other fully clad in a metal casing.
And a stuffed animal?
"After accident lady" won't be having a, um, hand grenade tho! Death Race - ah yes David Carradine as Frankenstein. Cue the Edgar Winter Group!
I am planning on adding some armored cheek blocks up front, again inspired by the Griffon car from BGC-4. More Kotobukiya parts will be used ("minus molds").
Still not too sure about those harpoon things on the roof.
The car makes me think of the original Death Race movie with David Carradine.
The mods for the exhaust are so well done. It looks like OOB. Can't help but think there is one monster of an engine under the hood.
I am mulling the possibility of modding the "after the accident lady" figure to a seated position to fit within the car. My figure-fu is very weak though.
That looks pretty wild - like an armored lambo.
Thanks,
John
That looks awesome G, like to see what you do with it.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I'm trying to get the model juices flowing again, so I decided to pull something out that is totally outside of my normal range. I think this one fits the bill.
It looks kind of like Mad Max meets Bladerunner. The driver figure is also included, with optional heads featuring a normal lady's face and hair, and another one which I dubbed "lady after the accident." That head is an all-metal mannequin-like thing with an integral neck brace. Makes me think of the Humoungous from Road Warrior. "...you shall have your revenge. But, we do things MY way!" Pics to follow.
So anyway, the chassis went together quickly and without any problems. And then the old habits returned to complicate the build. The kit has a bunch of crazy exhaust pipes coming out the back end, but I wanted something different. Recalling the 1980s anime Bubblegum Crisis 4, where the antagonist was a cybernetic car(!!!), I decided to dress up the back end to have that anime feel.
Kotobukiya makes a wide assortment of detailing parts for sci-fi kits, so I selected two duct sets.
I did use the two largest kit exhaust pipes, because they seemed like a good match.
