hi jesse Wink [;)] ,what i did to make a stand for my rc-ships(+80cm) simply take a bendable piece of wire(i used the ones for in the garden)and bend it around your lower hull to the hight you want your stand to come. then copy the 2 bends (fore and aft) to a piece of wood and cut it out. then messure your 2 wood stands to a plank where your ship is comming on (put a centreline first to line it up and glue the 2 upstands at 90° angle to the centreline) hope your can get any wise out of this Tongue [:P] or else instaid of copy your bendable wire direct to your wood ,you can first copy it to cardboard so you can cut it a bit when it not fit right and the transfer it to wood.

New Modeler needs Display Stand
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 7, 2004 10:36 PM
Hi all,

I'm new to ship modeling. I've been doing armor for years.

I would like to make a display stand for my 1/350 USS Arizona. I have the wood (1/2 inch oak board) but I need the posts for the ship to sit on. Where should I get these from?

Thanks,
Jesse
