I usually post in the Aircraft section, but thought this model belongs here too.

This is a Hasegawa kit I picked up while in Japan. As a fan of Japanimation, and of the Macross series, when I saw it on the store shelf I had to have it. I normally only work in 1/48, but I thought this 1/72 scale kit would be a worthy exception, and it was. It was so fun to do. Hundreds of teeny-tiny decals and the pencilled in panel lines and rivets really make this one fun to look at (for me anyway).
One unfortunate thing that happened was that the canopy ended up fuzzy after gloss coating it. C'est la vie!
I looked around on the web and could not find any photos of the completed model, so maybe there is an "unusual" factor here. I have waiting in the wings another Macross model - the VF-1D Valkyrie. Can't wait to do this one.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Steve
