I haven't posted anything here in the Science Fiction forum lately, so I dug up and scanned some pix of some old Alien and Predator builds I did about ten years ago (back when I didn't care about sanding parting lines, apparently!). I was going to post them over on the Figures forum, but I felt they really belonged here.
Have a look and a laff, and of course, all comments are welcome!

Here's the Halcyon "Alien with Egg" kit:
I think this is one of the best renderings of an Alien on the market (is it still vailable?).
Here's the Halcyon Predator 2 kit:
Halcyon did a great job on the dreadlocks, but I think the Predator is way too skinny! I do recall reading an article by Stan Winston saying Predator actor Kevin Peter Hall had lost a lot of weight for Predator 2, thus enabling Stan to make a leaner, meaner Predator, but I don't think the charactor was THAT skinny in the film. Check out that huge unfilled seem on his left bicep!
I knew nothing of filling and sanding back then.

Nice kit, but I always thought the molded-on dreads made him look he had just stepped out of the shower.
I built these kits years before I had an airbrush, so it's all rattlecans and brushes. I think they came out halfway decent, though.
I was looking forward to an influx of cool new Alien and Predator kits with the release of AVP, but nothing I've seen so far has interested me. Too bad...
