Sorry.. it's just after doing a search for "warhammer 40k" on the Sci-Fi Forum there were some less than complimentary remarks (e.g "cardboard boxes with pencils stuck in them) about Warhammer vehicles, so I thought I'd better check first :)
Anyway, here they are...
Space Marines "Rhino" armoured personnel carrier in the colours of the "Dark Angels" chapter. Slightly customised with
an extra anti-aircraft gun mounted on the rear hatch. (The hatch cover was missing from the model when I got it, so I thought I'd better provide a reason for it being missing :D )
You can see a flag-carrying Dark Angels Marine disembarking in the final photo. The third photo (rather overexposed unfortunately) shows the quite detailed interior, I added a couple of bolter rifles stowed on one side of the compartment but they are not really visible here.
Space Marines combat motorbike in "White Scars" chapter colours.
Though it looks pretty good in this photo, this model doesn't have a particularly good paint finish; I first painted it
with Revell semi-matt white, which (despite being a brand new tin), unfortunately refused to either cover or set properly, and remained sticky. So I stripped it off as best I could with enamel thinners, and re-painted the model with Humbrol matt white. This set OK but does not cover very well, so the model required two coats - combined with the Revell white remaining in the inaccessible crevices, this meant that the finer details of this model are rather blurred and obscured.
My "Ultramarines" bike (see below) should hopefully be an improvement!
Space Marines "Blood Angels" chapter troops.
This isn't a particularly good photo, unfortunately the other 2 photos were out-of-focus so this is the only one I could use. One has a bolter rifle, the other a missile launcher.
3 work-in-progress vehicles:
A Space Marines "Land Speeder" attack hovercraft, Space Marines Blood Angels chapter, another Space Marines bike (Ultramarines chapter) and an Eldar jetbike in the colours of Saim-Hann craftworld.
The Landspeeder is assembled and painted with the base coat, but needs another coat of red, detail painting, decals and weathering. The Ultramarines bike needs some slight retouching of the blue paint, weathering, and decals, whilst the Eldar jetbike just needs decals (and a pilot/rider, unfortunately I don't have one yet :D )
Note that all of these models are second-hand examples purchased on Ebay. All of them except for the White Scars bike (which was acquired as an unbuilt kit) were already painted and assembled, so I have stripped them down and dismantled them prior to rebuilding.
