I also finished up the Billiken G68. I resculpted the "eyebrow" ridges a bit and I am extremely happy with that kit now. |

I'd like to see what you did with the ridges, as I'm about start on that kit as well.
Looking forward to seeing your pix!

I just couldn't seem to find the time yesterday to post the pics, but basically what I did...
I'm sure you noticed that the eyebrow ridges look smaller and more sloped back than the way the suit looked in the film. Fortunately there are quite a few good dvd releases and books available for reference as to how the eyebrows should look. So I just took small amounts of sculpting compound (Aves Apoxy is my preference) and added small amounts to the ridges to bring them out a bit. Textured them , of course. I'll try to get to those pictures tonight....
While I was at it, I textured over the "zipper" in the back and the eyehole/vents in the neck. I guess Billiken likes to make their sculpt look like the actual monster "suit", but I want it to look like a "monster", so I "surgically" removed them. Monster plastic surgery!
The vinyl on that G68 kit is really thick! I found that I had to take the knife and carve away at the inside of the spikes to get them to fit over the little "posts" on Godzilla's back. If you test fit them, you'll see what I mean.
