you know you can make a Saturn V rocket model out of PVC piping and a lathe and some Balsa wood.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

Kit? What kit?Whistling [:-^] Actualy I've started building in kit form just in case. Tired of it being an after thought. Big Smile [:D]
One note, if you look to the back of the size comparison pic you might just see the USS Swordfish primary hull in 1:1000th scale.Evil [}:)]

Seems like an interesting and unusual subject. Keep the updates coming.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Moskva class tug test fit
Posted by maxx1969 on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 12:25 AM
I started work on a Moskva class tug the USS Taurus NCC-446 in 1:1000 scale to go with my Polar Lights TOS 1701. The Moskva class is one of Masao Okazaki's designs from Starfleet Museum. Heres a sneak peek:

Top rear view with the main components test fit together.

Front side view with cargo container.

And a size comparison with PLs 1701.

So far the project is made up of thermal form shapes from styrene, PVC for the container, and plexi-glass here and there. After all the fit work is done I'll cast it into its 14 main parts and scribe panel lines in them as the formed sheet styrene is a little to thin to take the detail. For more information on the Moskva class design heres the link,
