They're not cheap, but . . .
http://www.cshobbies.com/spaceships_&_vehicles_(N-Z).htm

Those are the only kits of the Nautilus I've seen in awhile. I'm not sure if anyone else currently produces them.
Or, you can find one on ebay on occasion.

BTW - you'll have to cut and paste that link, the "(N-Z).htm" should be part of the link.

Also, I just checked on ebay, and there are alot of Nautilus models avail there. Just search "nautilus" in the "Toys & Hobbies" category.

Here is another link with mucho info: http://www.disneysub.com/

And here is the kit that I have myself - it is so sweet! Tongue [:P]
It is 31 inches long which makes it 70th scale (close enough to 72nd as makes no difference.) I have only had it for a few weeks and plan to scrathbuild the interior of the Salon.
http://www.disneysub.com/cr31.html

A lighting kit is also available for this kit or the 66-incher: http://www.voodoofx.com/fiberfx.htm
Voodoo also sells the same 31-ich kit: [

I belong to that Forum. A good bunch of guys. If they can't answer your questions no one can.

Though here is another Forum:

If you are interested in info on a non-disney NAUTILUS, I can help you out with that as well. Just ask.

BTW the b]NAUTILUS[/b] made the cover of Modeler'sResource this month:

Let me know if you need more!

Hey modelnut!!
Perhaps you could share a bit about the Brodeen 31" kit...
Ordering, delivery time, your personal review of the kit...
Is it improved over the one reviewed in FSM?One piece
hull? How about fit, warpage, moulding quality,ie.,how do the
rivets& panel lines look? I'm seriously interested in the kit,
but my skills are about average & I don't want to get into
something that requires a lot of rework to look "right".
Many Thanks ,Roowalker

Okley dokley...

I bought the two-piece kit from Jim Key at Custom Replicas because I thought I would be converting it into a radio controlled sub. But after I got it in about two weeks - they don't cast the model until it is ordered and/or paid for - from FedEx, I found the model too beautiful to risk the resin rakers and keel to the abuse it would take as an R/C sub.

And it is indeed a gorgeous kit! Tongue [:P]

Most of the detail is crisp and clean. There are a few places where I might lose a few rivets while I am cleaning up a bit of flash. Mostly around the port and starboard "keels" where the mold line are obvious.
Replacing the teeny-tiny rivets will be a pain! Dead [xx(]
But the rest of the kit makes it worthwhile. Big Smile [:D]

Found one small void this morning. Right where the rudder will attach to the lower fin. Should not be too hard to fix.

Almost forgot to mention! You can get the NAUTILUS as a one-piece kit! That will save quite a bit of work because you won't be tempted to scratchbuild the Salon as I am planning to do. But it is your choice and I think the price is about the same - but I don't know that for sure.

There is a tiny bit of warpage that I found when fitting the upper and lower hulls together. When I press the aft portion tight together the bow doesn't want to sit right. But the gap is very small and I am confident that I can overcome it.

BTW I am a virgin when it comes to a model this big!
There are probably problems coming soon that I am just too dumb to see. Blindfold [X-)]

I will have to use the bathtub to wash this puppy in! It is too big for the kitchen sink.
But the mold release must go!

Here is a Gallery of photos from the best painted NAUTILUS that I have ever seen. This is the look I am aiming for!
Bow [bow] http://www.rc-sub.com/disney3.html Bow [bow]

It will be a long while before I have any pictures to share. I am just now getting the blueprints together to plan the build of the interior. Then I must get in the supplies. Find some appropriate 72nd scale seamen...
Yadda yadda yadda...

Let me know if you have more questions. But I give this kit : Thumbs Up [tup]

Many Thanks, Leelan!!!
This info certainly helps me,& other folks,I'm sure .Owner feedback is
the best source 'cause you're not selling,& finished fotos don't describe
the underlying work necessary to get those great results...
BTW,you might try CMK's 1:72 U-boat crewmen...some creative painting
& I betcha they'll look good...Also thanks for the Nautilus links-good stuff!

You are quite welcome, Roo!

Do you have a specific vendor in mind for those figures?
I did not had that much luck last year when I looked for some 32nd scale figures for a dio that I had in mind.
Still looking... Angry [:(!]

But if you have a good source, I am very interested!

cool,
some one is talking Disney version Harper Goff Nautilus again...sweet!

I'm curious what size you were looking for. I did a little Disney Nautilus history article for the disneysub forum so can help ya a bit in knowledge department. Also, I recently heard that the 31"er will not be avialable anymore, so if you are thinking of getting one, don't wait. It's a pretty boat !... while all Nautilus models to date, excluding the 50th 1/96th scale model figurine sold by Disneystore, are made using the Disney plans, a starting point to build a true Nautilus, Scott's boat is not bad at all...Most Nautilus fans would be tickled with the 31"er, I have one too, guess it really depends on what you want..

Comet miniatures still offers their unreleased Airfix resin injection casting replica kit, neat little model about 10" long, unfortunately at the same time, they also offer a recast of the 31" er,and the 16" er.....

anyway, you may email me if you have further questions, concerning your endeavor to find a model of the Disney Nautilus, I have a "little" idea of what the Submarine is all about, and it's reincarnations. lol
