Pretty neat idea but it's nowhere near 1:1 scale.

It feels like a star wars fan film. They have annual contests for star wars fan films and mockumentry ( sorry for spelling) is one of them they do alot of. Also if your building something you make sure you take tons of time for prep before you begin also the star wars falcon was a movie set - there is alot of things different then in a real life craft. But thats really great and glad to see people doing creative things just for fun.

Such a shame that it was destroyed. I would have liked to have seen it in person. Thanks for the link to the website.

That's absolutely amazing... but rather tragic as well!
If I was building anything like that, I'd either make sure I had some sort of structure to keep it in to protect it from the elements, or I'd build it out of something durable/weatherproof like aluminium. Even if it didn't get wrecked by a storm like this one did, a wooden Falcon (or any other similar model) would start to deteriorate if left outside exposed to the weather, with rot, warping, paint fading and peeling, etc.
