I have no clue. I'm pretty certain that "Silent Running" was the first movie dedicated to showcasing an agroship, tho.

Easy - "Silent Running". The footage from the beginning of "The Magnificent Warriors" (which I just watched last night!) was from SR, just reversed - we see the three ships from the scene in SR where they're going from the left to the right of our screens, but in "Warriors" they were going right to left. They even inserted Raiders and Vipers in to stock footage from SR, as a matter of fact.

I enjoyed it enough to have ordered it a couple months back from Amazon.com and watched it twice since receiving it. It's a good movie, IMNSHO. Sure, it's about the environment from a time when "hippies" were all outraged over how mankind was treating the forests and dumping pollution into the atmosphere, so is a sort of "tree hugger" flick, but the message is pretty reasonable, IMNSHO, the characters - such as we see - are believable and it has one of the biggest studio models ever created. What's not to like?
