Sand Speeder is DONE!!
Posted by balta1 on Sunday, November 27, 2005 11:55 PM

Well.... after being in a modeling slump for the past couple months I've finally been able to finish one! I painted the canopy with chrome tinted with blue. I kinda wanted something to look like it would protect the crew from those harmful UV rays LOL. I'll use Blue Blockers on the crew for the next one.

I love the idea of a "Sand Speeder" since these are traditional "Snow Speaders". It would be cool if you put US Marines markings on them. LOL

Looks great! Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

Great looking model. The sandspeeder concept is pretty cool!

Nice job! I had the same idea for an ED 209 kit, but never finished it. Nice wash too.

Love your idea and how it came out!   Great job.

You may even want to add some shiny silver all along the front edges to simulate additional wear from flying through wind-blown sand.  The abrasion on the paint must have been murder!
