Hello,

I agree with J-Hulk that the ARII kit is the better one.
The Doyusha kit originally was issued by the japanese company "Nihon Hobby" or 
"Hobby Japan" which means the same, in the 1960s. As this model was prepared
for motorizing and maybe radio control, many details where somewhat crude
or made thicker, not to be damaged to soon when someone played with the model.
The railings were molded on, the lower part being thicker than the upper part,
thats a technical solution to pop off the sprues easier from the moulding machine.
NICHIMO of Japan offered a 1:200 scale model of the Yamato, a model I have
dreamed of in my youth, but I dont know whether this one is better than
the ARII / OTAKI model.

They are two completely different kits. From all accounts, the Arii kit is the better of the two (and apparently originally an Otaki tooling).
