True and sorry, Tracy: The 5" gun kits for CA-38 are a challenge. Reference to an earlier post: what is 5-N, what is 20-B in late 42, or are the entire mounts grey, which seems to be what pics show?

Interesting my butt! Officers are good guys to be sure, and have their place in the overall  scheme of things. The real guys who run a ship are the enlisted chief petty officers. They have the real nuts and bolts knowledge on how to get things done at sea. And the enlisted guys in the US Navy are intelligent, well trained and innovative. That is a trait of all of the US armed forces.

I bought three packs of 4 to get the 10 you need. It probably cost around $ 30.00.

I've built up most of one of them in a couple of hours, except for the PE which remains. I cannot understand the instructions, and photos are really hard to read from to get what the manuf. was trying to achieve.
