A friend now has my 20+ year old Matchbox release of their excellent 1/72 scale model of the Flower class corvette used by the Allies in WW2. I had bought it new in a hobby shop in the early 1980s and never got around to building it, but I had gone through the parts many times. There was a colorful accompanying booklet showing the different paint and detail schemes for the three nationality versions, and also some good history on the development of the class, but there were no assembly instructions - I assume they were omitted at the factory. This didn't really bother me, even though the kit is listed as having over 1000 parts, because the large scale and pictures seemed enough guidance for anyone with a little experience in such kits. But I still feel somewhat bad about passing along a kit with no instructions, even though my friend assures me it's not a problem for him.
I'd be happy to pay the copying and mailing expenses for anyone who'd be willing to help. Or even an e-mail of a scan of the instructions would be appreciated. Never having seen the directions, I don't know how complete or helpful they were. Maybe they were just diagrams with no text, but in any case, if you can help, please let me know. Thanks.
