Hindsight being 20/20, after building two large scale plastic model masted sailing ships (Old Ironsides, and HMS Victory) I have a much better feel of what not to do on future kits, like gluing in the masts before rigging.
I recently read Frank Mastini's book, Ship Modeling Simplified. Of great interest and value for future builds were Part III, Masting and Rigging, and Part IV, Finishing Her Up. The book was definitely easy to read and understand vice some other books that I have thumbed through that are packed with information but also so confusing (for me) to understand and be able to apply it. Yes, I classify myself still a novice (green horn; wet behind the ears) masted ship builder.
My questions to the forum is, "Are there other books out there you can recommend that you believe a novice such as myself could use that is not too confusing, to continue learning how to build and rig my collection of plastic model sailing ships, better?"
Thanks a bunch in advance. dogbone
