Very nice pictures.  Thanks for posting.

Regarding your statement, "We got the grand tour of the cruiser from a Jr. officer fresh out of the academy. She was in charge of communications and crew morale," I guess things have changed in the decades since I was in the Navy.  I might be getting old, but I clearly remember being taught that the commanding officer was also the unit's morale officer, and that was one responsibility in particular the C.O. could not delegate.

Or maybe my memory really is playing me false.

Can someone enlighten me about the modern Navy?

Thanks,
Bruce

No problem, you're welcome. I loved that pic as well because I recently finished the Revell Colombo Express. If anyone wants the high res pics let me know and i'll send them over. They are all 1 gig so no emailing them all.

The Lincoln, CVN-72 was in port for Navy Days so I took some pictures. Also included are pics from CG-59 USS Princeton. We got the grand tour of the cruiser from a Jr. officer fresh out of the academy. She was in charge of communications and crew morale.

I got a bunch of pictures with a modelers eye. Hope they help one of your projects. There is the carrier hanger and flight deck, An E2C-2000, an F/A-18 D and E and an SH-60, not sure of the exact model of the chopper.
