Beautiful work!!!!! The WIP allowed me to fully appreicate all the work you put into her.

I've got a IJN cruiser in my stash and this half way makes me want to pull her out and start her and half way scares me off with all the PE and rigging you did!

That looks great. Excellent job on the PE. My only recommendation would be to add some washes along the superstructures and turrets, with some streaking up and down the hull. That would help to pop some of the details.

I commend you, I'v never painted or built up anything larger then 1/700.

Nice job! I always wanted to build a Japanese Cruiser, they look "different" enough from other warships to be interesting. Tamiya has some excellent offerings...Hmm

I agree with tigerman; this is an excellently built model, but washes and attention to bridge/pilot house windows would really take it to a new level. Portholes and windows can be done using something as simple as a fine tipped Sharpie pen. You have already accomplished this with the cabin windows on the launch on the boat deck. I urge you to take this project to the finish line where it will surely be a winner.

Great job on the build, aircraft & everything. I'd agree with subfixer & tigerman - a good wash would be the finishing touch. Yes
