Artwox wooden decks

Has anyone had experience placing either Pontos or Artwox wooden decks on Tamiya 1/350 USS Missouri? If so, would you recommend scuffing the kits styrene deck with steel wool and perhaps putting a thin coat of dull coat clear on prior to installing these decks? Or, does the adhesive on the wooden decks do alright over time without the need to do either? Many thanks fellow builders for your assistance....

Hi SG,

Sorry I don't have any experience with wood AM decks. I do want to do the Mo again and would like to add some AM stuff, so thanks for the heads up.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I've used Pontos decks several times with good results. They stick securely to both unpainted and painted plastic. In only one instance did I have a corner of a deck start to come up and a drop of super glue on the end of a tooth pick was all it took to fix the problem.
