Here are some pics of my 1/700 Trumpeter USS Detroit. Built this a couple of years ago. Added PEs and some scratchbuilt parts (including the hoses).
I also made her convertible, i.e., removable lower hull for waterline displays. Here she is alongside my scratchbuilt BRP Lake Taal. As always, comments most welcome.

Beautiful! As someone from Detroit, it makes me want to look into grabbing that kit.

Nicely done sir!
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Thanks for the kind words, Mark, Don and Steve!
Very nice! I have put off working on that kit because I didn't have a good method of representing the refueling hoses. Your look great!
Rick
Thanks for the kind words Rick!
It is also great to see someone else working in 700 Scale.....Cheers mark
Now ;
That's very nice ! I like your subtle and correct weathering too .Too bad these ships don't come in 1/350 . 1/700 is to small for these old eyes . T.B.
Many thanks T.B.! I woud very much like to see much more auxiliary/support USN vessel kits. I can only imagine how big the ship would be in 1/350.
