Help needed - simple kit of Captain Cook's HMB Endeavour

Probably the easiest and best option would be the Airfix kit though.

I have the Airfix kit in my stash, hope to get it on the bench in about three months or so.  From what I can see, it is a pretty nice kit and I am looking forward to starting the build.

The old Revell Bounty is still pretty widely available. It's the sort of kit that can be simple or challenging, depending on what you want the finished product to look like.

John is correct; the Airfix kit is the only plastic model of the Endeavor.  It is a nice kit that is simple enough that your son could probably build it with good results.  And, having been rereleased last year, it should still be reasonably priced and readily available.

To my knowledge, the Airfix kit is the only plastic Endeavor ever released. There are several wood kits, but they're all pretty sophisticated - and expensive.

This is just the way it works in the tiny world of plastic sailing ship kits. It's rare for any ship to be kitted more than once (though it does happen).
