Great model Don, how about some more pictures. I know what you mean about fragile. My Tamiya Missouri model, I gave to my friend 29 years ago & I just got it back & it was in perfect condition until I got hold of it & broke the masts with the rigging on them. Boy what a repair job. I made up my mind to use brass wire or rod for small things. Even if it is a little off, it won't break.
Resin is terrible for fine things, just too fragile.
It looks excellent, Don. Great work.
Yeah Sure :
Lazy and in a hurry my Eyeball ! You just did what I do ."Hey , It's finished . Gonna get away afore I break sumpthin ! " You ain't foolin this old man. Just because you done a Kick Butt job again !
She still looks like a Rodney or Nelson that hit the White Cliffs of Dover at full speed head on ! No , really Don she's beautiful ! T.B.
Marcus McBean Don, I have that kit and with your statement about the masts, do you think a attempt to make my own out of metal rod would be a benefit? I had to do this for the Dreadnought kit as the mast and yardarms were very weak. Great looking model. Marcus

Yes! I did the antenna on the rear mast myself after exploding the kit one. However, the wire/rod I used did not match the PE one on the foreward mast. So doing both from the same brass stock would make it look better. I made a pretty complex jig out of particle board to do the one mast- it wouldn't have been hard to use the same jig for a second- I was just lazy and in a hurry.

scottrc Impressive build Don. It still reminds me of a mini version of the Nelson or Rodney.

I thought the same exact thoughts when I first saw it. I'd like to do a Rodney or Nelson some day.
A fine build Don. A very good looking ship model.

Beautiful work Don.

Very nicely done, Don. Will be a nice addition to the shelf.
Both an impressive craft and a superb bit of modeling. Well done, Don!

Great work Don,
I like the weathering on such a unique subject.
Finally finished the Roberts. I will be adding a plexiglas case to the base. The masts and rigging are so fragile I am afraid to move it lest I touch something in that area. But don't know how long it will take me to make a case. So I am declaring it done, and posting the picture below.
