Now I can't remember, was it only the one turret, or more?

Somehow I have it stuck in my head that it was Turret 3.

But, I may be confusing that with the graphics for the various combos to designate BatDivs.

Oh, and ship kits are bit unique.

Unlike, say, a Bf-109 or an M-24, where kits cane be 'more exact," ship kits are always compromises.  You can't build to the plans, as the ships were not always built to the plans as drawn.  And, even in the same class, they were built one at a time, not as sets of parts to be matched up later.  Then, ships change throughout their lifespan.  The model kit makers have a bit of a moving target to hit, to create the kits.

So, for ship modelers, you wind up weighing the kits versus what you are willing to live with/change/rebuild/what ave you.

So, your best bet is to read all the reviews, read all the WIP/builds, troll through all the videos, and inform your decision in that way.

Look, my original answer was tongue-in-cheek. Of course I don't "know".

I just have a pretty good idea, based on in particular the information posted here by others, plus other info. Anyone really interested in this question or others regarding this type of thing is well served to do web searches for Tracy White's posts and information.

I'll add one more source; the recently installed model at the museum in Pearl harbor. I understand that it was very well researched.

Grunt ;

I have found the Trumpeter model pretty close to my research .By the way It's ARIZONA . You mistakenly added an extra " I " . You will enjoy the build . Problem is It is 1/200 .I don't know about any resin ones in 1/350 , much plastic ones . T.B.    P.S. The model at Pearl is considered to be the most correct model of her out there . I patterned mine after that one . " G " is correct and so are the others . All her turret tops were red as fleet group leader ( for the planes of course )

There's a plastic 1/350 model most recently boxed by Hobby Boss. All kinds of brass, wood and turned barrels available.

I have the Hobby Boss kit.   Looked it over, and it appears to be fairly nice, and not a real complicated build, but have not dug into very deeply yet. I think it will be on the old Revell kit as far as dificulity.  Hull and all of the main deck including the turret bases are one piece. Super structure and fore and aft decks are separate pieces.

Aha !

The Arizona Color conundrum rears it's ugly head agin . Guys , I personally don't know about you , But I have Revells version , both in Sea Blue and Haze Grey . Both look good to me .

Sorry , But the big un ( Trumpys 1/200 ) is going to be Blue except the fighting tops . Varying shades of course , but in line with Pacific weathering .

In most Pictures those tops look white .They were actually a very light grey . That's my understanding at least .  T.B.

" Hey G "

Quite picking nit .It's a nice grey color and always will be LOL.LOL. Trouble is no one , even the Navy seems to know for sure .Strange isn't it , that even the Navy doesn't know ?

Besides she's an awful color of rust now . Did you see the pics of some of the stuff that is still in existence ? Definitely not cared for as the source befits them . ! T.B.

T.B. That's what I understand as well. I have the old 1/350 Mini Hobby Arizona (Before it became Hobby Boss), They copied the 50's Revell in every way, at least for for assembly, all the way down to the horendious seam along the casemates.

I got it several years ago for my birthday along with the GMM PE set. I'll have to finish her up someday soon.
